Emma Reeves’ adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson’s My Mum Tracy Beaker is receiving a network transmission on 28 March following its recent launch on CBBC. My Mum Tracy Beaker received a record-breaking reception, reaching 2.1 million streams on iPlayer within the first three days of its first launch on 12th February.

The new series is based on the 2018 book of the same name by Jacqueline Wilson, who wrote the original children’s novels that inspired the first show. Dani Harmer reprises her role as Tracy, with Emily Carey featuring as her daughter, Jess.

These viewing figures are extraordinary. We’ve had an overwhelmingly positive reaction to My Mum Tracy Beaker from viewers of all ages, proving how much love there continues to be for home-grown, British drama.
