Ben and Dave have comedy and animation projects under option to some of the country’s leading production companies including Tiger Aspect, Longboat Pictures, The Comedy Unit and Various Artists Ltd.
They’re the Creators, Writers and Producers of Audible’s Very Modern Quests hosted by Alice Levine (My Dad Wrote a Porno) and starring Emma Sidi, Joe Thomas, Rose Matafeo and Joe Lycett.
Their gag-writing credits include Comedy Central’s Your Face or Mine, Impractical Jokers UK and three series of ITV’s Saturday morning show Scrambled! starring London Hughes. They’ve also written for Rhod Gilbert, Jo Brand, Matt Richardson and Julian Clary across radio, podcasts and TV.
In 2019 they launched the podcast department at DLT, developing formats independently, for and with new and established acts and running a diverse slate as a playground for new ideas with potential to transfer to TV and beyond. Within a year they had won 2 x Audible Originals series commissions, piloted multiple formats, and were invited to join the exclusive Acast Create Network, from which they launched 3 x series including top 20 comedy show When No One’s Watching attracting guests including Romesh Ranganathan, Desiree Burch and the Derry Girls. Beyond writing they developed high-profile Saturday night TV hit Little Mix: The Search with music management giant Modest.
Ben and David began writing together on student radio at the University of East Anglia. In 2013 they created Killer Moves, a contract-killing sitcom pilot, whilst Ben was studying at the National Film and Television School. It won the New York Television Festival Critics’ Award and a Royal Television Society Student Award.
